Water Temperature Monitoring
Maintaining safe hot & cold water temperature
HSE Legionella, ACoP L8, HSG274 part 2 states guidance that cold water must be kept below 20ºC, and that hot water should reach the tap at 50ºC, but be produced and stored in the chlorifier at 60ºC.
For compliance it’s important to provide evidence that hot and cold water systems are storing water at the required temperatures. We will help you establish regular motoring at required intervals.
Automated sensors can be installed to your hot and cold pipework to monitor the temperature of the pipe at pre-determined frequencies reporting back in real time to our cloud based system.
- Control of legionella bacteria in water systems
- Part of HSE Legionella, ACoP L8 Compliance
- Manual monitoring via sentinel outlets
- Automatic water temperature monitoring using the latest sensor technology
Water Cleaning & Disinfection
Most water systems will require cleaning and disinfection during the course their operational life. Cold-water storage tanks, calorifiers and system pipework in particular will require cleaning to prevent the build up of bacteria over time. We can provide visual inspection of cold water tanks or take bacterial samples – and if disinfection is required we will undertake the work in accordance with the required regulation (currently ACoP L8 and PD855468:2015).
